SHAH ALAM VET - BILL FOR PN ROBBIAH'S CATS

Hello all

Sorry it has taken me so long to post this... have been completely swamped with work... Here's the bill for the cats that were at Shah Alam. Have blacked out the owner's name as the adopter wanted to remain anonymus. Will post details for Setiawangsa cats as soon as I get the bill and have time to scan and upload it.

PN ROBBIAH'S CATS AT THEIR NEW HOME

Last weekend, 17 of Pn Robbiah's cats (11 females from the Shah Alam vet, and 6 males from the Setiawangsa vet) were relocated to their new home - a lovely bamboo farm out in the country. I would like to thank the people who made this possible - namely the volunteers who came with me to catch the cats at Pn. Robbiah's house and then to relocate them, the vets and most importantly each and everyone of you who contributed towards this cause.

***********************************
Details:
Shah Alam Vet - 11 of the 12 cats sent to the Shah Alam vet have been relocated. The remaining cat will be going back to Pn Robbiah as that was one of her favourites. The total bill at Shah Alam is RM1,905 for the spaying/neutering and other medical treatment, e.g. for the flu, flea treatment etc. I will try and get the bill scanned and uploaded as soon as I can.

Setiawangsa Vet - 6 male cats sent to the Setiawangsa vet have been relocated. We unfortunately lost 5 of the cats/kittens (the sickest ones to viral infections). They were the ones that were down with diarrhoea and were vommitting when we picked them up from Pn Robbiah's. The 3 mother cats and their remaining kittens, and the other cats are still being treated. Some of the kittens are still quite sickly and I hope that they will recover soon.

I will be getting the bill from Setiawangsa once all the cats are well and can be moved to their new home. I suspect that this bill will be quite huge as there were 25 cats in total sent to this vet, and due to all the medical treatment that had to be provided for the cats.

SPONSORSHIP NEEDED FOR PN ROBBIAH'S STRAY CATS

A good Samaritan who wishes to remain anonymus has called me and offered to take ALL of Pn Robbiah's cats. They will be well looked after, and will have lots of space to roam etc. Her only condition is that ALL of them MUST be spayed and neutered before she takes them. She has also offerred to sponsor the spaying and neutering of 10 of the cats, but has requested that I raise the funds for the rest.

Therefore I would like to appeal to all of you to please sponsor the neutering of at least 1 cat.

The cost of neutering is a MALE cat is RM75.00 including post-surgery care
at Setiawangsa Veterinary Clinic

The cost of spaying a FEMALE cat is RM120 including post-surgery care
at Shah Alam Veterinary Clinic.

This does not include amounts that may be incurred for treating cats that are sick, and THIS  PRICE IS A ONE TIME DEAL only for Pn Robbiah's cats. These vets will not be taking in cats for any other cases.

I will post the amounts incurred at the vet, and if there is any access or leftover from any funds raised, this will go towards animal welfare work in general.

Please email me your name and the amount that you have sponsored to cleopatrathelabrador@gmail.com so that I can update my records accordingly.

In the mean time I would like to thank everyone for helping spread the word! It is very much appreciated!

Sincerely,
Natasha Fernz

NOTE:

I would like to stress that any amount you donate should be PURELY VOLUNTARY.

And while I will endeavour to answer all questions regarding the cats and their well-being, please bear in mind that these are NOT my cats. I was asked to help late Wednesday night, because this lady had no one else to turn to. I am doing my best in the limited time that I have.

THESE CATS WILL BE CONFISCATED ON SUNDAY 5 JUNE IF THEY ARE NOT REMOVED AND RELOCATED ASAP!

And to mobilise 30 cats in such a short time does not allow for the cheapest options.

URGENT FOSTERERS OR ADOPTERS NEEDED FOR 30 STRAY CATS

Pn Robbiah is a 58 year old retiree that feeds and cares for over 30 stray cats in her area. Quite a number of these cats have actually been dumped at her home. With her limited means, she does the best that she can for these unwanted strays.

Many of them are sickly, and she takes them to the vet for treatment and looks after them as best as she can.

However, recently a neighbour filed a complaint to MPAJ. Pn Robbiah has been given till Sunday 5 June to remove all the cats from her premises and surrounding area or they will be confiscated.
