CHRISTMAS TREAT FOR THE FUR KIDS...

Cleo, Lucky & Rascal had a special Christmas treat this year... We bought them HUGE bones and they had it for dinner on Christmas day...

Cleo and Lucky were rather apprehensive at first as they have never had RAW bones before. But after a few minutes, they started to really enjoy gnawing the meat off the bones. Surprisingly Lucky did a better job with the bone compared to Cleo..

Rascal took to the bone immediately and destroyed the bone in a few hours.

I am still unsure about the whole BARF concept, but I figured leting them have a treat once in a while wouldn't hurt too much... though having said that Cleo vomitted the next day. I guess her tum tum isn't quite used to a RAW meal..

Woh, nice juicy bones guys! Cleo, you eat sooo slow. I would much the whole thing down fast!

Oh, you vomited the next day. Usually we vomit becoz some bone bits are stuck in our throat so we try & vomit out but my hoomans find no sharp bones in out vomit. We get solid rock hard poops after eating bones & sometimes will get diarrhea when we eat raw bones. You hooman should probably shove her fingers in your throat to make you vomit it out or make you drink olive oil or melted butter sot that it is easy for it to go down.

Hi Natasha, Thanks for the livercare info! I will definitely check it out. Sophie is like Cleo with the really big bones. I think they are just too much for her. She's fine chewing on the smaller ones, but if I give her a big knuckle bone, it upsets her tummy.

But you just know Cleo loves every minute of the chew!!

Happy holidays,
Sherry & Sophie
