SILENT PROTEST TO STOP DOG HUNT

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated” ~Mahatma Gandhi.

So it will be great if you can mention the updates, but to inform your readers to check Mad About Labrador Retrievers for the latest news. Please this is vital to save time and effort and to ensure that everyone has the right information.

Hi guys,

Just got the latest news. A group of Malaysian animal lovers will be organising a SILENT PROTEST in a bid to bring this ridiculous dog catching competition to a stop.

Please note that this protest is not sanctioned by any animal rights organisation. Please understand that there are risks involved by being part of this protest, as any form of public gathering without a permit is deemed illegal in this country.

Date: 9 SEPTEMBER 2007
Time: 10.00 am
Venue: Small Parking Lot, Central Park, Bandar Utama

Dress Code: White / Pink tops or White and Pink tops are preffered. Not compulsory

White = cleansing our nation from impurities and cruelties

Pink = a rosy future for all animals and humans.

RULES & REGULATIONS OF THE SILENT PROTEST

1. The protest is a peaceful SILENT protest. All participants must remain SILENT at all times during the protest. No comments etc must be given to members of the press (if any are present).
2. All participants must be respectful and not cause a raucous at the venue.
3. All participants may not make any slanderous remarks, verbally, via physical demonstrations, or via any media towards any party or race or religion.
4. Banners and flyers will be handed out. Do NOT bring or MAKE your own banners or flyers.
5. Please be on time for this protest!!! (No Malaysian timing please!) If everyone comes whenever they like, we will not have enough numbers to be noticed.

7. Good photographers, please bring your cameras and help take good pictures.

Please turn up at the above mentioned venue if you would like to lend your support.

Just a quick note to say that we have signed the petition. I don't know how much use it will be but - it doesn't do any harm.

Would you like me to publicise it on DWB News? Or is the only value from Malaysian people? I don't know.

It is still abhorrent.

Thanks for signing the petition. It willbe of use as long as there are real names and valid email addresses.

And any publicity we can get is good publicity!!!

Hey Natasha,

It's on the same day as the petnyou carnival? Mommy & I want to join the protest but may be busy with the trials. Will they be walking into the field too to protest?

natasha,

in my personal opinion, it doesn't even need to be considered a religious matter... taking care of and respecting all forms of life should be an application of common sense, an instinctual duty! pity how much we've been de-evolving. all the best at the protest, wish i could be there to offer my support, but will call if i can to check on how it's going.

WE signed the petition twice and asked some friends to do the same. What a ridiculous, awful thing. I hope you have success with your protest.
